Hi there! My name is Emily Cinque.
I’m a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in treating women’s mental health, including eating disorders, trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety and birth trauma.
I believe women deserve specialized care for their unique experiences, including the emotional, physical, hormonal, and identity shifts that happen across their lifespan.
I believe we need to challenge the societal messages that keep women silent, isolated, and convinced there’s something wrong with them.
And I believe that when we can begin to name, and gently work with, the shame that keeps you small, the overwhelm, and the pressure to do it all on your own, you can start to reclaim your story and reconnect with who you are now, not just who you’ve always had to be.
If this season feels heavier than you expected…
You might be here because your mind won’t stop running through all the what ifs.
What if something happens.
What if I miss something.
What if I’m not doing this right.
It’s not just worry, it’s constant mental rehearsal. Trying to stay one step ahead so nothing falls apart. And it’s exhausting.
You might also notice yourself comparing…
Your body, your experience, your capacity
Wondering why things seem to feel harder for you, or why you can’t just “get it together” the way it looks like others can.
And underneath that, there’s often guilt and shame.
Guilt that it feels this hard.
Shame that you’re struggling at all.
The truth is, women are often navigating so much at once.
Internal pressure, changing roles, relationship dynamics, and expectations that are rarely spoken out loud but deeply felt.
You might feel overwhelmed by emotions that come on fast or feel hard to regulate.
You might feel disconnected from your body, unsure how to trust yourself, or stuck in patterns of restricting, bingeing. overthinking, overfunctioning, or trying to do it all on your own.
For some women, these experiences become even more intense during life transitions, like postpartum, shifts in relationships, or changes in identity.
You may find yourself navigating postpartum anxiety or depression, adjusting to a body that feels unfamiliar, or trying to make sense of a birth or medical experience that didn’t feel okay, even if you’ve told yourself it “wasn’t that bad.”
This is often what we mean when we talk about birth trauma, and it can have a lasting impact on both your mental health and your sense of safety in your body.
In my work as a trauma therapist in Pennsylvania, I use approaches like parts work and EMDR therapy to help you process these experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable.
Not by forcing you to relive anything, but by helping your nervous system finally move through what it’s been holding onto.
Because none of this means you’re doing something wrong.
It means you, your system, has been carrying a lot.
And therapy can be a space where you don’t have to carry it alone anymore.
Here’s what feels important for you to know about me:
I love helping my clients feel less alone in what they’re going through, and more connected to themselves in the process.
→I support women navigating eating disorder and body image struggles by helping you understand how shame, control, comparison and disconnection from your body often develop and how to rebuild trust with yourself in a way that actually feels sustainable.
→I work with women in the postpartum period who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or not like themselves, including those processing birth trauma and the emotional and identity shifts that come with motherhood.
→I help women make sense of anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the pressure to hold it all together—so you can move out of survival mode and feel more grounded, connected, and like yourself again.
I also have a special interest in working with people struggling with chronic pain.
If you’re tired of trying to manage this on your own, therapy can be a place where you don’t have to have it all figured out, we can start exactly where you are.

I love to sing! I was involved in choir and musical theatre from elementary school through college, and while I don’t perform anymore, singing is still a major self-care avenue for me.
I have three adopted cats- Pinot, Binx, and Peaches.
My favorite holiday is Halloween- I love all things spooky!
I love spending time outside- hiking, gardening, swimming, sitting around a nice bonfire, all of it!
I’ve swam with sharks.
